So the supreme court has decided to have a hearing on steroids in light of The Mitchell Report, so who do they invite? Roger Clemens, Brian McNamee, Andy Pettitte, and Chuck Knoblauch. How many players were in that report? Yet congress is only going to invite the members of the 1999-2000 Yankees? What about Miguel Tejada, Larry Bigbie, Eric Gagne and the countless others who haven’t said a word about their inclusion on the list? We’ve heard what Pettitte has to say (not to mention Brian Roberts, why isn’t he going?), along with McNamee and Clemens.
I’ve been trying to decide what’s the worst part of this and it might be including Knoblauch. At least if it was just Clemens, Pettitte, and their trainer you could say that they were the biggest names and the biggest story.
Really it’s a shame, because it would give many of the players named a chance to say their bit under oath (or perhaps refuse to say it).
