Just some quick follow up to the Conseco post – thanks to Pete Abraham for pointing us in the direction of this article. It’s now official – I don’t think I can comment further on the ways in which everything Jose says is likely erroneous. There’s just too much.
(I also find it kind of funny Pete chose to title his entry “Conseco not exactly William Faulkner,” since in my post I made a similar joke. Though we may be wrong – The Sound and the Fury, for the first hundred pages, is written from the point of view of a boy with a severe mental handicap. I’ll let you finish the joke.)
